We met whilst studying at university, in the UK. One of our tutors suggested that we should work together, and found that we got on far too well! As for the meaning of TADO, it's actually a cheeky anagram of our surnames. Nothing ingenius… we really need to find a better story for the reasoning! :D

As kids it was all about the classic UK comics like the beano and the dandy. You could sit in the park for hours on ends laughing your socks off reading these whilst chewing on the penny candys! To list the comics we're into now would be endless but to name a few, ghost world, jimmy corrigan, all the messed up folks on the slave labour line, junko mizuno and astro boy is always a classic.

We love the whole graphics scene at the moment, there is so much happening on a global scale. We've built up great relationships with people in places like Hong Kong, Japan, USA, Canada and New Zealand, and that is the biggest inspiration. Hooking up with like-minded people is a kick - there's so many artists doing amazing shit, its great to be part of it all. We guess on top of that, horror movies, day dreams and each other's stupidity!

We guess our other fetishes are t-shirts and trainers. Both of which you can never really have too many of…that's how we like to justify it anway!

After far too much time spent together, we reckon it's a combination of sharing the same level of twisted humour, arguing, physical violence, and the understanding that mike is always right!! : (katie repeatedly punching mike in head…)

Tough questions! Generally we're very lucky in that most of the clients we deal with have seen our work and know what they want us to do. Those are the easiest briefs! The hard part comes when a client gives us free range, which is a great position for us to be in, but we always have far too many ideas! We can spend days whittling it down to something suitable, though this way is harder, it's also a lot of fun! Our approach is to basically sketch stuff out first, have a few disputes and then clean it up!

More toys!! - We're still working with Toy2R on several other projects. We're putting the finishing touches to the new series 4 artist 'Qee' toys, and making plans on a large vinyl figure or two. We've also just begun work with the London based Playlounge shop on an exclusive figure and the rest is cool editorial stuff and a few bits of webwork.

Its always really satisfying to see your work in print, but then web stuff is great too because its so accessible and you can always get just the colours you want with RGB. Our work is pretty much a 50/50 balance between web and print so we get the best of both worlds really.

We spend FAR too much time locked away in our darkened studio - we are loyal mac users, and hardcore internet geeks! Our eyes are the size of dinner plates and our skin is pasty and shrivelled as a result! Though time to time we love to get the pencils and crayons out and doodle till our fingers ache!

Another impossible question with too many to list! However our top 5 would be: 1.PIXELSURGEON- keeps us up to date with everything in the world that matters! Oh, and we contribute to it! 2.FRESHSENSATION/SAMOROST -THIS is the best thing we've seen in ages. Do not go anywhere near this url if you intend to do any work! 3.NINGYOUSHI, KIDROBOT, PLAYLOUNGE, and MAGIC-PONY kinda cheating but we have to have all 4 of these as one! We love them all and the message boards on kidrobot and ningyoushi are a wealth of info for anything toy related. 4.STRANGECO- Superb toy portal featuring Hong Kong's 'Playground' magazine. Always a good one for seeing things first! 5.FRESHNESSMAG, RIFT-TROOPER great art/sneaker/culture/toy mag sites, always got their ears to the ground! Sorry! That's more like 9 than 5, but they're all great!

Design: that the genie would implant into our feeble brains a superb working knowledge of 3D animation! We've been wanting to do this for quite a while but we are truly inept! Music: the genie would invent a completely new and awesome kind of music that was the best music in the world ever!! Loads of music is getting boring at the moment, its time for something new!! (don't ask us what tho!) World: the genie would pick up china, and japan, shrink them down a bit, the stick them onto the side of the UK. Or perhaps in place of wales….! That way we could just drive down and see our friends in china and japan withour having to take long haul flights! We could also have amazing shopping trips in just 1 day!! Imagine that! That would be the best thing. You guys could even come over and stay in the uk and japan at the same time - we could ask the genie to build a high speed rail connection directly to portugal! ……….erm…..think its time we stopped now! Between the 19th and 21st of Dec of 2003 their work was expose at a Hong Kong Exhibition with other artists. And finally their big support, to the competition DESIGN-A-QEE EXPO 2004, where you can create your own toys.
